Saving the Best for Last My final year of high school was my favorite year of high school. This year, I was the big senior and kind of looked down on all of the underclassmen, because that's just what seniors do. The soccer team didn't win states again, but we had a good year nonetheless. I made a lot of new friends and met a lot of people. That was probably another senior thing; making friends with everyone you see or set eyes on especially girls. I played football for the first time and I wasn't that bad. I had five catches for fifty yards throughout the season, hut my team was 1-9 with a promising outlook for the upcoming season. My final year of high school made me realize that even though my high school journey is over, there is a lot out there to achieve as long I set my mind to it. Clifford's statement delivered on the occasion of receipt of Principal's Brunch Award My selection for this award did come as a surprise to me. I feel very fortunate and gratified to have been considered worthy in the eyes of others, as I welcome this honor with open arms. I would not be here today if it weren't for two important people in my life. My mom and my dad have always supported and helped me in everything I sought out to do. Well almost everything. Whether it be soccer or school work they have been with me each step of the way. There has always been the constant urging for me to do my homework and to try my best at school. They have always told me that my future starts at school, and after school I might make enough money to drive around Lamborghinis and Ferraris, and that is a good source of motivation. My mom has always been my solace and shelter as she she has helped me through many difficult times, and my dad my advisor, helping me to make good decisions. Without these set of parents I would have been an entirely different person, and not what I am today. What I have accomplished today I owe it all to these two terrific individuals. |
